Policies

The Library Trustees, with the Library Director, develop and review policies to ensure that the library runs efficiently and fairly for everyone.  As a department of the town of Brattleboro, the library also complies with town policies, which are the responsibility of the Selectboard and the Town Manager.

Policies specify the rights and responsibilities of library users, staff, and trustees.  For example, borrowers must take good care of library materials, and library staff must protect the confidentiality of library users. If you have questions or comments about the policies, please contact Library Director Jerry Carbone.
