The Library is your place, at 224 Main Street and online. Come visit us to check out books, movies, CDs, e-readers, and museum passes. Explore our digital media and homework help for 24/7 access to e-books, e-audio, and useful databases for school projects. Check in with the reference desk for free research help from a reference librarian.
You can also help shape your library's services for young adults by making suggestions for purchase for new titles or by joining the Teen Advisory Board. If your school has a community service requirement, the TAB is a way to fulfill your requirement while making a difference for the library. To participate, submit a Teen Advisory Board application, and we will be in touch.

Young Adult Materials in the Library
The Young Adult area on the first floor stocks new and popular fiction for teens, and you can also find good reading on the adult shelves and in the children's room.
Young Adult nonfiction, audio, and DVDs are shelved with the adult materials, but you can spot them easily by the purple dot on the spine. Graphic novels and comics are a popular area; you will find them on the mezzanine in 741.5. And please don't hesitate to ask us for help finding things; that's why we're here.
Keep your eye on this section of the website for recommended reading lists; for example, check out a YA Valentine for a little romance.
Research and Homework Help
Brooks Memorial and the BAMS/BUHS Library have different materials. For best results, use both libraries! Try our YA Research Guide and Middle School/High school section for suggestions about how to get started.
If you live or go to middle school or high school in Brattleboro, you are entitled to a free card that will allow you to borrow and download materials and search all our online resources from home.
