Film Screening & Discussion: "The Economics of Happiness"

The Climate Change Cafe will be screening the film, "The Economics of Happiness," on Tuesday, December 20, 6:00 PM, at Brooks Memorial Library, Main Street, Brattleboro

Please Note: The December Café will be held on the 3rd, rather than our usual 4th Tuesday of the month.

As always, the event is free, and light refreshments will be available.

“The Economics of Happiness” reveals how globalization is accelerating climate change, and fraying the fabric of our communities. With stunning footage and thought-provoking commentary from thinkers and activists the world over, the film demonstrates that a better world is not only possible, it’s within our reach. It presents the localization movement as a systematic alternative to corporate globalization, and a strategy that brings community and meaning to our lives.

Joanna Macy wrote, “This film connects the dots between climate chaos, economic meltdown, and our own personal suffering. It presents the localization movement as a systemic alternative to corporate globalization, as well as a strategy that brings community and meaning to our lives.””

There will be a discussion following the film.
