DESCRIPTION:Community Substance Use Response (CSUR) invites you to a free informative and engaging Harm Reduction and Overdose Prevention training\, presented by Vermont Cares. \nThe session will cover: What is Harm Reduction and how does it work; Addressing stigma around substance use; Understanding overdose prevention; Recognizing signs of an overdose and how to respond. \nParticipants will gain a compassionate\, informed\, and practical approach to harm reduction. They will be equipped to positively impact their communities and offer non-judgmental support to those in need. \nNaloxone (an overdose reversal medication) training will be included\, and participants will have the option to take a free naloxone kit home\, empowering them to potentially save lives. \nLight refreshments will be served.
