SUMMARY:Compassion Fatigue Workshop and Discussion
DESCRIPTION:Do you ever experience frustration and feel you are losing your compassion for those struggling with addiction? You are not alone. As part of their continued work to respond to the ongoing crisis of substance use disorder\, the Community Substance Use Response (CSUR) is hosting a free conversation on Compassion Fatigue with Don Cuerdon\, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in private practice in Brattleboro\, Vermont.  Cuerdon specializes in memory reconsolidation therapy for reducing the emotional charge behind the traumatic stress that drives many mental health disorders\, including substance use disorders\, anxiety\, depression and\, of course\, PTSD. \nThis workshop will address ways to set boundaries\, develop coping mechanisms\, and seek support when needed. By working together\, CSUR believes we can reduce compassion fatigue\, addiction\, and stigma and create a more compassionate and supportive society for everyone. \nSnacks will be provided. For more information\, please contact Justin Johnston at 802-257-5600 or jjohnston@turningpointwc.org.
