Library staff member releases first novel with Aladdin/Simon & Schuster

Set in a world ruthlessly divided by genetic class, Tested is a high-stakes dystopian novel for ages 10+. The Friends of Brooks Memorial Library will prove 25 free copies of the book to kids and teens who attend the event. Books will also be available for purchase. All ages welcome.

Anna Monders finished writing Tested after moving to Brattleboro in 2022 and was already working as the library’s accounts clerk when the novel sold to Aladdin, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, in 2024.

We are so proud of Anna! Join us as we celebrate this incredible achievement from someone who works right here at your local library.

The program is free and open to the public.
