Cardholders can borrow seasonal garden tools from the Field to Fork tool cottage and many other items from the circulation desk on the first floor. Make life more efficient and more fun!

Garden tools and ebikes are available spring through fall. They can be reserved ahead of time, and they have their own locations and schedules for pickup and return.
Year-Round Things

Kitchen tools and other year-round Things can be reserved and checked out at the first-floor circulation desk during regular library hours.
May 14, 2025: Our online system for browsing and reserving Things is temporarily unavailable. We will be launching a new system soon! In the meantime, please call the library at (802) 254-5290 ext 0 to ask about our Library of Things.

Things-by-Chance
We have additional Things, like hiking poles and wifi hotspots, that you can find in the library catalog. We sometimes call them “things-by-chance.” They are available first-come, first-served, but you can place holds through your regular library account with your card number and PIN, just as you would for books or DVDs.
