Impacts of and alternatives to the Acceptable Community Conduct Ordinance: a panel discussion

November 18, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

What is the Acceptable Community Conduct Ordinance that the Brattleboro Selectboard recently passed and what are its impacts and consequences, both intended and unintended?  How does this Ordinance align with Brattleboro’s identity as a “compassionate community”?  Are there other possible approaches we could take to address the crises we are facing that might be more effective or humane?  How are other towns and regions addressing these challenging issues?

Brattleboro is experiencing compounding crises that result in a lot of human suffering, both seen and unseen. We all want a safer community – what does that mean to you and your neighbors?  Come to a panel discussion to hear about the impacts, consequences, and alternatives to the Ordinance and to think more deeply about a collective vision for the future of Brattleboro.
