We’re remembering Meris Morrison, Director of the Brooks Memorial Library in the 1980s and early 90s. Later, Meris was the Director of the Moore Free Library in Newfane and was profiled in the Commons on her retirement. In 1993, she was honored by the VT Library Association with the Sarah Hagar Award for excellence in library service.
There will be a memorial service for Meris at All Souls Church on Saturday, August 8th at 2pm. As noted in a tribute from All Souls, “Meris’ legacy lives on in her deep love and appreciation for books and reading, and her lifelong dedication to libraries and the incredible discoveries and learning that can be made within their walls.”
