Interaction (formerly Youth Services)
Description
Serves both youth and adults.
Interaction’s Youth Programs create opportunities for young people to feel seen, uplifted and supported. We work with youth from early to late adolescence taking into account the specific challenges that some have faced due to generational poverty, racism, education inequality, housing insecurity, or addiction.
The Clinical Department at Interaction provides mental health counseling for youth (12-18) and adults.
All services are typically provided in a traditional office setting. However, we recognize that sitting in an office does not work for everyone. If you need other arrangements, please let us know.
Counseling and assessments through Interaction are billable through VT Medicaid. We cannot currently bill other insurances, but documentation can be provided for reimbursement purposes upon request, and sliding scales and payment arrangements are available
Restorative justice views crime as a violation of people and relationships. It emphasizes the needs of those who have been harmed, meaningful accountability of those who have done the harm and the involvement of community members in the process of healing. Restorative justice also wants to provide an opportunity for change for those starting to get involved in the criminal justice system.
