Service Wait Estimates
A person receives a phone call or email as soon as possible; if the appropriate person is in the office and available, they can talk to them immediately. If not, it will be within a few days. The coordinator will set up an in-person intake interview at that time.

Volunteering needs
Our core programs – hospice care, grief support, advance care planning, and serious illness – all depend on one-on-one volunteer support. Training is required; applications are on our website: https://www.centerforsolace.org/volunteer. Once someone submits an application, the program coordinator contacts them and sets up an interview. If the applicant is accepted, they must complete a multi-week training, pass a background check, and then have an exit interview. Our thrift shop also accepts volunteers. People can stop by Experienced Goods at 80 Flat St., Brattleboro, to inquire about opportunities at the store.
