Movie buffs and series fans, thank you for your interest in Kanopy! We know that this streaming service is a great fit for our community, and we’re immensely grateful to the Friends of Brooks Memorial Library for their generous support to sustain it.
Beginning August 1, we’re starting a new Kanopy plan to keep our costs predictable and sustainable—and there will be fun elements to the change. Here’s what will be available for library cardholders:
Unlimited streaming of movies and series in eight popular categories (PLUS Packs):
- British Cinema & TV
- Diversity
- Documentaries
- Easy Watching
- Episodic Titles
- Favorites
- Kanopy Kids
- World Cinema
6 tickets per month for additional pay-per-view movies or series, typically 3 movies or 1 series per month.
Q: What’s the catch?
A: Ha, ha, good question! We might sometimes hit a library-wide monthly cap on total usage of pay-per-view movies, and everybody’s pay-per-view tickets will expire.
Q: Seriously???
A: Yes, but don’t despair!
- You can still watch unlimited PLUS Pack movies.
- Your tickets for pay-per-view will re-start at the beginning of the next month.
