Teen Advisory Board
We are the Teen Ambassadors From the Lime That is Spicy (TAFLTS) and we are the Teen Advisory Board for Brooks Memorial Library. There are nine of us between the ages of 12-18. Our job is to help the teen librarian pick books, plan monthly and summer events that are fun for teens, and to spread the word about them! We’ll put events we’re planning on the door to Spicy Lime as well as on the Teen Room Page.
Currently, we meet once a month on 2nd Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 (including dinner). If you’d like to submit a question or an event suggestion, please email us at Teens@brookslibraryvt.org.

Teen Board Members
Elise is an aspiring novelist and an active swim team member. She enjoys fantasy like books by Leigh Bardugo, but also reads genres and realistic fiction.
Estrella is an avid reader of all kinds of fiction, graphic novels, and manga. She also enjoys drawing, horseback riding, K-pop, and anime.
Kai has read through most of the books in the Children’s Room, and is now working on doing the same in the Teen Room. She enjoys writing poetry and reading all flavors of fiction, particularly mystery and fantasy. She proudly does not own a cellphone.
Lightning is an artist and graphic designer, as well as being a book nerd! They are an active member of the community, involved in a number of teen organizations around town.
Luca loves animals, art (of all kinds), Ren Fair-esque things, DnD, and nature. His favorite books are mostly historical fiction and fantasy.
Oscar enjoys doing card tricks, listening to classical music, and eating sushi. His favorite book genre is dark fantasy. His favorite book series is Tokyo Ghoul by Sui Ishida.
Rei loves music, acting, reading, swimming, arts and crafts of all forms, and making yummy allergy friendly food. Their favorite book genres are historical fiction and mythology as well as action fiction and their all time favorite author is Rick Riordan. :]
Yignyen is an athlete, gamer, and enthusiastic reader who enjoys many different genres, particularly manga. A community oriented individual, in addition to his role in TAFLTS, he volunteers to help around the library.
