National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Vermont)
Description
NAMI Vermont is the independent state chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, founded in 1983. We are a statewide, nonprofit grassroots organization where volunteers lead our free programs. As our mission, NAMI Vermont supports, educates and advocates so that all communities, families, and individuals affected by mental illness or mental health challenges can build better lives. We provide educational classes, presentations, support groups, and we advocate at the legislature and at advisory committees to improve the mental health system and represent the family lived experience.
