Description
Out in the Open connects rural LGBTQ+ people to build community, visibility, knowledge and power.
We are a multiracial, majority working class, grassroots, movement and capacity building organization based in Wabanaki territory with full time staff in both Vermont and Maine.
We focus on cultivating a deep sense of place, utilizing arts & humanities strategies in order to connect people with a sense of wonder and curiosity so that we can widen circles of belonging, deepen relationships, honor & celebrate rural LGBTQ+ culture, co-create our futures, and help transform rural places as part of a world that works for everyone.
