Adult Summer Reading Program
Workshop I: Observational Drawing: Bones & Feathers — Saturday, July 11
Workshop II: Make Your Own Natural Paintbox — Saturday, July 18
Workshop III: Walnut Ink Still Life with Vermont Stones — Saturday, August 15
Join us for a series of three nature-inspired classes designed for adults and youth ages 12 and up. These hour-and-a-half workshops will focus on the use of natural materials and the skill of close observation, a vital gift of drawing from life, which connects the visual arts with the sciences. Throughout these workshops, the emphasis is on learning how to see the natural world through a new lens. Drawing from observation and using local materials will foster a deeper connection between art and science while contributing to the understanding of our local environment.
Participants are welcome to attend one or all workshops, and all sessions are free.
