Newspapers
The Brattleboro Reformer is Brattleboro’s daily paper, whose history goes back to the 19th century. It is currently published in print and online. Library cardholders and visitors have free online access to the 21st-century Reformer archive, plus archives of other Vermont newspapers.
The Commons is a weekly reader-support paper for news and opinion, distributed freely in locations throughout the community. It also publishes online.
Community Television
BCTV offers a wide variety of news and community programming, including coverage of local government and the school district. The BCTV video library lets you enjoy community events that you might have missed in person, and talk shows like Here We Are and Vermontitude introduce the many faces of Brattleboro. In addition to the video library, BCTV is accessible through its YouTube channel, and always airing on Comcast Channel 1079.
Town of Brattleboro
Brattleboro.gov, the website of the Town of Brattleboro, is continuously updated with news from Town departments, Selectboard, and committees. Check out Town Matters, a podcast hosted by Brattleboro Town Manager John Potter and produced by BCTV.
Online Community/Social Media
Front Porch Forum is a daily email newsletter where you can connect with neighbors in a low-key, friendly environment. You’ll also find many Brattleboro organizations and Town departments through traditional popular social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

There are recurring gatherings like the Game Cafe, Brattleboro in Stitches, the SciFi Reading Group, and Rhyme Time.
